The VX1 video doorbell has night vision and color night vision on-event to give you the information you need to make informed decisions. The color night vision on event is a setting that you can select that lights the doorbell area only when motion is detected. Otherwise, an unobtrusive infrared night vision is used. This color night vision makes for crystal clear event-based video recording to see the details such as clothing color, hair color, and face details.

This video doorbell also has a spotlight feature. A siren and LED spotlight can be used to warn or deter intruders. All you do is tap the deterrence button when viewing live video, and that starts the siren and spotlight.
